Kate, a law graduate of the University of Nottingham, possesses broad experience in all areas of employment law (including wrongful and unfair dismissal claims), having run her own specialist law firm prior to joining Langleys. She qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and is an experienced tribunal Judge sitting in the West Midlands Region. Kate’s particular specialism lies in the education sector and she regularly advises local authorities, schools, academies and colleges in relation to employment law issues. She also advises her education clients in relation to Academy conversions, admissions and exclusions and special educational needs. She also acts as one of the Employment Team's supervisors, Kate is a former Chair of Women in Newark and is a Committee member of the Working Group for Business Women's Link (Lincolnshire & Rutland). In 2009 Kate was appointed a Fee Paid Employment Tribunal Judge and sits in the Birmingham region.
