Cheng Hong joined JunHe in 2007. Prior to that, she worked for two international law firms, including over 4 years with the Shanghai office of Sidley Austin LLP, and over 2 years with the Shanghai office of Bryan Cave LLP. She also worked in a large State-owned enterprise as in-house counsel for more than a year. Ms. Cheng has extensive experience in corporate and M&A and foreign direct investment areas. She assists clients in project structuring, due diligence, drafting and review of documentation, negotiations, etc. She also assists clients in setting up, changing and dissolving wholly foreign owned enterprises, joint ventures and representative offices, and advises clients on related legal issues as well as issues arising out of the daily operations. Her work has involved a broad range of industries including manufacturing, trade, consultancy, logistics services, real estate, technology, pharmaceuticals, financial, mining, etc. Ms. Cheng has also accumulated extensive experience in providing PRC tax law services. She often advises overseas and Chinese clients on various PRC tax and bilateral tax treaty issues associated with clients’ inbound investment, M&A transactions, outbound investments and business operations in China, as well as individual income tax planning. In addition, she has a lot of experience in tax dispute resolution. She has been recognized a leading PRC tax lawyer in recent years by Chambers Asia-Pacific.
