Bio

Martin John is a Corporate Partner in the London Office at JMW. In addition to dealing with mergers and acquisition work in a variety of sectors, Martin advises on development joint ventures, subscription and shareholder agreements and commercial agreements relating to branding, international franchising and cross-border trade and distribution arrangements. Martin also has many years’ experience in non-contentious construction matters, advising owners, developers, contractors and professional consultants on contractual matters and negotiating contracts in relation to a number of high-profile developments. Recently Martin has been dealing with the acquisition of a number of hotels, some of which were rebranded, and the finance documentation for an acquisition of entities with a significant underlying property asset. Much of Martin’s work has a non-UK element so he is well-versed in dealing with multi-jurisdictional matters. Outside work Martin enjoys reading, sailing and skiing and he is a keen ornithologist. Martin is a lifelong Liverpool supporter.
