Yuanpeng Lang graduated from Southwest University of Political Science and Law with Bachelor of Law in 1995 and Foreign Affairs College with Master of International Law in 2004 respectively. From November 2015 to March 2016 Mr. Lang was a visiting scholar in the University of Washington School of Law. Prior to joining Jingtian & Gongcheng, Mr. Lang worked as the legal counsel with Changtong Cable (Group) Co., Ltd. from 1995 to 1998; an associate with Honesty Law Office from 1999 to 2001; and a senior consultant with World Jet (Hong Kong) Capital Limited from 2002 to 2004. Mr. Lang joined Jingtian & Gongcheng in 2004 and became a partner in 2007. In his legal practice Mr. Lang has advised multinational corporations, state-owned enterprise, Chinese and overseas private companies, financial investors including private equity funds on corporate reorganization, securities offering, cross-border investment, venture capital, M&A, structured finance and capital markets. In the area of securities offering and capital markets, Mr. Lang has represented dozens of companies in their listing on domestic stock exchanges and international markets such as Hong Kong, U.S. (both the NYSE and the NASDAQ), UK, Japan, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. His clients involvenumerous industries, including internet, media, entertainment, education, energy, shipbuilding, telecommunication, real estate, healthcare and biotechnology.In respect of mergers and acquisitions, Mr. Lang has provided legal services and overall solutions to investors from the U.S., Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, including conducting due diligence, initiating transaction structure, negotiation, drafting and implementing transactiondocuments, issuing legal opinions to the closing of the deals, etc. Mr. Lang obtained the PRC lawyer's qualification certificate. He acts as the deputy director of the Company Law and Enterprise Legal Risk Management Committee of the Beijing Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Chinese Society of International Law, and an arbitrator of Tianjin Arbitration Commission. Mr. Lang is a native Mandarin speaker with English fluency.
