Yongqing Huang graduated from Peking University Law School with an LL.B. degree and an LL.M. He received another LL.M. degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law (where he was a Sohmen Scholar). Mr. Huang joined Jingtian & Gongcheng since 2011 as an equity partner. Prior to this, he worked with a PRC law firm and afterwards with Shearman & Sterling LLP practicing law in the area of mergers & acquisitions, capital market and anti-trust, etc. Mr. Huang specializes in mergers & acquisitions, overseas investments, FDI, PE/VC investments, anti-trust/competition, and capital market. He has expertise in various sectors including technologies, TMT, new-economy, healthcare, insurance, finance, environment, etc. Mr. Huang received consecutive recommendations and awards from well-established industry watchers and medias. In recent years, he was awarded the ALB’s 2018 Top 15 M&A Lawyers of China and named in the recommended list in the area of antitrust and anti-unfair-competition in 2016 and 2017. Mr. Huang was also selected by the Department of Justice of China as “The One Thousand Foreign-related Talent Lawyers”. In the area of M&A and PE financing, he provided legal services for Chinese State-owned or private enterprises, listed companies, PE/VC funds and international companies to carry out cross-border or domestic investments, M&As, joint ventures, asset sale or reorganization transactions. Certain well-known clients Mr. Huang worked for include China IC Fund, Huawei, Huangshan Tourist, SAIF Partners, Softbank Vision Fund, Taikang Insurance, The Export-Import Bank of China, etc. Mr. Huang also has extensive experiences in the area of antitrust/competition law. He has assisted clients in clearance of dozens of China merger control filings and advised on anti-monopoly investigations and antitrust compliance projects. His well-known clients include Baoxin Auto Group, Broad Ocean Machine, CITIC Heavy Industries, COHL, Eternal Materials, LBX Pharmacy, Norinco Group, Sanofi, Wanda Group, Yifeng Pharmacy, covering a wide range of industries, such as automobile retail, real estate, Internet, culture & sports, technology & manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, military & equipment manufacturing, etc. Mr. Huang has PRC legal qualification and was admitted to the New York bar. Mr. Huang is a native mandarin speaker with English fluency.
