Thomas A. Monson is co-chair of both the Corporate Practice and the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice. He concentrates on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and other corporate and securities matters, and he has represented public and private companies in mergers, stock and asset acquisitions and divestitures, leveraged buyouts, venture capital transactions, restructurings and joint ventures, as well as a variety of public offerings and private placements. He also counsels clients on securities compliance and disclosure issues and corporate governance matters. Mr. Monson is a member of the firm’s Corporate, Securities, Private Equity and Communications, Internet and Technology Practices. In addition to co-chairing the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions Practice, Mr. Monson serves as a member of the firm's Management Committee. He volunteers his time in the community as a member of the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago.
