Geoffrey M. Davis is co-chair of Jenner & Block’s Tax Practice. He has a broad federal tax practice focusing on acquisition and divestiture transactions, restructuring and financing transactions and fund formation and related investments. He also routinely handles a wide spectrum of tax controversy matters. Chambers USA has regularly named Mr. Davis one of the leading lawyers in tax. The Legal 500 has also recognized Mr. Davis’s tax work. He is a member of the firm’s Tax and Tax Controversy Practices. He is also a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Workout and Corporate Reorganization, and Private Equity/Investment Management Practices. He serves on the firm's Finance, Pro Bono and Opinion Committees. Mr. Davis has taught several tax courses as an adjunct professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law and at John Marshall Law School. He began his professional career as a tax CPA with Price Waterhouse in New York and has practiced as a successful litigator beyond the confines of tax.
