He has over twenty years of experience in legal advisory in mergers and acquisitions, both on the part of the seller and the buyer. An important part of Marcin Macieszczak's practice is cooperation with private equity and venture capital funds, both in the field of creating and raising funds, as well as in acquisitions, especially in the form of buy-outs or expansion capital and exit transactions carried out by these entities, including the sale of given shares or portfolio shares for strategic investors (trade sales), for financial investors (secondaries) and as part of stock exchange debuts (IPO). Marcin Macieszczak also specializes in structuring and executing leveraged buyouts. His experience includes comprehensive service and conducting M&A transactions, including cross-border projects, from the preparation of the legal and tax structure of the transaction, including optimization aspects, coordination of due diligence and preparation and negotiation of transaction documents, to conducting the concentration procedure before the Office of Competition Protection and Consumers and representing investors before other competent offices in proceedings leading to obtaining the necessary approvals and permits. Marcin Macieszczak also advises on restructuring, corporate and real estate issues. He has been associated with the GESSEL Law Firm since February 1999. From January 2007 as a partner, and from January 2017 as a managing partner. He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw in 2000.
