He began his professional career at the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Luxembourg in the Capital Markets Department, focusing his activity on the legal advice required for debt transactions in the American, Asian and Pacific capital markets and in the following currencies: euro, US dollar, Canadian dollar, Australian dollar, New Zealand dollar, Hong Kong dollar, Taiwan dollar and Japanese yen. During his time at the EIB, he notably participated in numerous debt issues, including transactions involving Samurai and Uridashi bonds, kangaroos bonds, global bonds, etc. He joined the Seville corporate/commercial and civil law practice of J&A Garrigues, S.L.P in February 2004. His main area of expertise is finance, providing both recurring and ad-hoc legal advice on traditional structured finance deals (corporate and project finance) and on new alternative financing structures, as well as on investments by private and public entities, particularly private equity firms. In the corporate law area, he acts as legal adviser to the managing bodies of a large number of companies and has held the position of board secretary and secretary to the various board committees at several companies operating in regulated sectors and various production sectors. He currently acts as board secretary for more than ten different business groups. He has extensive expertise in negotiating and formalizing all types of commercial contracts, particularly financing agreements, having participated in the negotiation and formalization of complex finance and investment structures by all kinds of financial operators. He has also taken part in numerous corporate restructuring transactions at all types of commercial companies, with broad experience in mergers and acquisitions. He has teaching experience as a lecturer on various training courses (EOI, Universidad Pablo de Olavide) and has been a speaker at numerous specialist courses, programs and conferences.
