Alvaro is a partner in the Corporate Tax Law Department. He began his professional career at Arthur Andersen, before going on to join J&A Garrigues. He can draw on over 20 years of professional experience. He is an expert in international and non-resident taxation. He has participated in numerous international expansion projects at business groups, handling and monitoring their staff expatriation policies. Elsewhere, Alvaro is a specialist in the tax planning of R&D and technological innovation initiatives, having collaborated actively with the technical departments of industrial groups, identifying such activities in the value chain (drafting of reasoned reports and tax rulings). Lastly, it is worth noting his wealth of experience in the restructuring of family companies, having headed up numerous succession processes for the sale and purchase of medium-sized companies. In this connection, he is an expert in the various schemes for investment and divestment at venture capital funds. He has been a qualified member of the teaching staff on the Master’s Degree in International Commerce (University of Alicante) and the Master’s in Taxation (University of Alicante, Escuela de Hacienda Pública). He is also a regular speaker at seminars and conferences (Fundesem, COEPA, FEDA, Association of Economists, Credit Bank of Petrel, Textile Business Association of the Valencia Autonomous Community, Sax Industrial Business Association, etc.). He is a member of the Alicante Economists’ Association.
