Bio

Andrew Varney is a corporate partner resident in Fried Frank's Washington, DC office. He joined the Firm in 1989, was resident in the Firm's London office in 1992-1993 and became a partner in 1995. Mr. Varney represents clients in a broad range of transactions, with a focus on representing private equity fund investors in secondary transactions. He also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate governance counseling. In his most recent dealings, he has represented BlackRock, Coller, Fortress, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Pantheon, and StepStone, among others.
