I lead a team of cross-disciplinary internationally-focused lawyers in advising emerging growth and listed companies from the US, Canada, Europe, Australasia, China, Taiwan and Japan on mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures; strategic alliances, technology transfers, distribution and licensing agreements; EU data protection and privacy; and the establishment and operation of business in the UK and Europe through subsidiaries and Headquarter companies. I am the senior and most experienced corporate lawyer advising on inward investment. I spend the majority of my time in the UK, but also visit my clients in the US and around the world regularly. My clients come from various sectors: capital markets, manufacturing, services, media, publishing, and technology, involving the cloud, software, hardware, telecoms and life sciences. Many of these are regarded as the leading companies in their sectors. I have given over 200 lectures in the US and written a number of articles, pamphlets and guides on the European Union and inward investment into the UK. I am the principal author of a number of books and articles on UK company formation, employment law and on inward investment into the UK. I am the author of 'London for European Headquarters' published by London and Partners and various blogs on The Diverted Profits Tax. Over the years I have been and continue to be listed in Legal Experts, and Chambers in my fields of corporate, M&A, IT, biotechnology and immigration, in Who's Who for Legal and Business Lawyers as and as one of The Ones to Watch for Life Sciences Lawyers. Representative sell side deals include; sale of Enterproid to Google Inc, sale of ATM Artists to a JV with Azoff Entretainment MSG Inc, VFA Inc to Accruent Inc and of Absorba Games LLC to a consortium.
