Francisco Pérez-Crespo Payá advises business groups on complex acquisition and restructuring transactions. He regularly advises the boards of directors of concessionaire companies, as well as advising companies on debt renegotiation and insolvency proceedings. He is a counsel for the state since March 1, 1988 (on leave). He was deputy director of the legal service of the tax authorities for four years and, before joining the firm, he was secretary-general of the Aceralia Group, participating in its privatization and European integration. He lectures in the Master on Business Insolvency at Universidad CEU San Pablo (Madrid) and in the Master for Admission to the Practice of Law at Universidad Pontificia Comillas-ICADE. Together with other members of the firm’s insolvency team, he also lectures in the Master in International Business Law organized by Wolters Kluwer Formación. He speaks regularly at forums and institutions such as IESE and FIDE. He is a member of the Special Section set up to transpose the EU directive on restructuring and insolvency. He contributed to writing the draft bill for the reform of the Insolvency Act as a member of the Special Section for Insolvency Reform. He was a member of the Taxpayer Defense Council.
