Antonio Baena in an expert in corporate matters and securities markets, advising clients on takeover bids, public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. He regularly advises Spanish and international companies—particularly listed companies, and private equity and investment funds—on crossborder transactions, with a special focus on Spain and Latin America. He has participated in wide-ranging transactions, including in the energy, industrial, finance, consumer and real estate sectors. From 2013 to 2017, he was managing partner of the Cuatrecasas London office. Before joining the firm, he worked as an investment banker at Salomon Brothers in London and New York. He has lectured on corporate and securities law in master and bachelor programs at several universities, including Universidad CEU San Pablo, Universidad de Alcalá, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Universidad de Navarra and ESADE Business & Law School. He has written and co-written articles in specialized journals and in collective works.
