Alfonso Reina advises financial institutions such as banks, credit unions, investment service providers, insurers, venture capital companies and their management companies on corporate transactions (corporate, contractual, transactional and regulatory matters). He regularly advises investors and venture capital managers on incorporating and structuring venture capital companies, and advises venture capital companies on transactional issues. He has participated in many transactions in Colombia and has extensive knowledge of the Latin American market. Before joining Cuatrecasas, he worked for six years in the M&A practice of the law firm Baker & McKenzie, where he advised national and international clients on transactions in the industrial, service and real estate sectors, and participated in important management buyouts (MBOs). He regularly speaks at conferences and training courses on venture capital at various institutions, including the Spanish Association for Management Progress, iiR España and IFAES International Faculty for Executives. He has lectured on corporate law in postgraduate courses at ESADE Business & Law School in Barcelona.
