Pri­or to being a part­ner at Cresco, Fil­ip was a part­ner at Ambos NBGO, and an asso­ciate at Lin­klaters and Allen & Overy. He obtained his law degree at the Leu­ven Uni­ver­si­ty (KUL, 1998). Fil­ip also par­tic­i­pat­ed in an exchange pro­gram at North­west­ern Uni­ver­si­ty, Chica­go (1997) and holds a Mas­ter of Laws (LLM) from Cam­bridge Uni­ver­si­ty, Trin­i­ty Hall (1999). Fil­ip De Schouw­er, part­ner, prac­tis­es cor­po­rate law (includ­ing merg­ers and acqui­si­tions and cor­po­rate restruc­tur­ings), real estate and gen­er­al com­mer­cial and con­tract law for local and inter­na­tion­al clients, and also for gov­ern­ment institutions. He reg­u­lar­ly presents sem­i­nars and work­shops on merg­ers and acqui­si­tions, com­mer­cial agree­ments, changes in cor­po­rate law, etc., to entre­pre­neurs, investors and accountants. Fil­ip is a board mem­ber of VONK & Zonen (an agency focused on lit­er­ary pro­duc­tions) and a mem­ber of the Oxford and Cam­bridge Soci­ety of Flanders. Fil­ip is a Legal 500 and IFLR rec­om­mend­ed lawyer for Cor­po­rate and M&A, and Real Estate.
