Gustavo Resendiz advises and helps clients to form their domestic and international investment funds, including private equity, growth equity, and venture capital funds, as well as funds of funds. He counsels private fund sponsors on all aspects of the fund formation process, including structure, key terms, marketing, and negotiations with investors, and counsels clients regarding the structure and terms of their internal business arrangements and in day-to-day legal and operational matters, both at the fund and upper tier levels. Gus also represents institutional and other investors in their investments into alternative investment products. Gus brings over 20 years of legal experience to Choate, with over a decade each as outside counsel to investment managers and investors and general counsel and chief compliance officer to SEC-registered investment advisers. Gus has expertise in the legal and business issues important to clients, including compliance and regulatory issues, global risk management, business development, and investor relations matters, and a wide array of operational and administrative practices.
