While his primary focus is on private equity transactions, he advises clients across the spectrum – from private equity funds to public companies – on significant mergers, acquisitions, and similar transactions. Over the years, Dan has advised on investments and acquisitions on behalf of sophisticated global middle-market investment funds, including Great Hill Partners, BV Investment Partners, Long Ridge Equity Partners, and Windjammer Capital Investors, as well as their portfolio companies, like Apps Associates, Ascenty, Right Networks, and Symmetry. In addition to private equity buyout and growth equity deals, Dan is frequently called on to represent underwriters and investors in connection with public and private debt and equity securities offerings, including public utilities and public utility holding companies. Prior to law school, Dan served as an information technology officer and oceanography officer in the U.S. Navy.
