Bio

Vince is a commercial transactions attorney. He concentrates his practice on franchise and licensing law, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, and general corporate matters. Prior to joining Cheng Cohen, Vince practiced at Global IP Law Group, LLC, in Chicago, where he represented clients in a wide-range of intellectual property and technology transactions. Specifically, his practice covered patent portfolio monetization, which includes patent sales, licensing, litigation, and portfolio valuation. Such valuation materials are used to justify patent sales, calculate reasonable licensing fees, estimate potential damages, secure debt financing, and supplement M&A transactions. In addition, he created and managed the firm’s trademark prosecution practice by representing clients in the federal trademark registration process. Vince holds a JD (cum laude) from Chicago-Kent College of Law where he received a Certificate in Business Law. During law school, he volunteered as a student intern for the Illinois Institute of Business Law, where he helped review proposed Illinois business legislation with professors and practicing attorneys throughout the state. He earned his B.S. in Finance from Miami (OH) University, where he focused on portfolio management.
