Christian Patelmo is a partner in CARNELUTTI Law Firm. He is a member of the Firm’s dispute resolution department, where his practice focuses on civil, commercial and corporate litigation as well as on domestic and international arbitrations. He also boasts great expertise in non-contentious matters, advising clients in debt restructuring transactions and in bankruptcy procedures. His professional career began in October 2001 at the Italian office of a major international London-based law firm, focusing on civil and commercial litigation as well as on non-contentious assistance in commercial and international matters. He subsequently worked with major Italian law firms, specializing in civil and corporate litigation and assisting Italian and international clients operating in the pharmaceutical, gaming, fashion & luxury goods sectors and in the banking and financial services markets. Christian obtained his honours law degree in 2000 from the Catholic University of Milan; in 2001 he undertook a post-graduate course in International and Community Law at the Institute for International Politics Studies in Milan. In 2008 he earned his LL.M. degree with honours from the Ann Arbor University of Michigan Law School, with a dissertation on comparative civil law under the supervision of Prof. James J. White (Robert A. Sullivan Professor of Law Emeritus). He has been a member of the Italian Bar since 2004. Christian speaks English and French, in addition to Italian.
