Bio

Matthew Borden is a partner and co-founder of BraunHagey & Borden. He has successfully litigated dozens of cases for business clients in the U.S. and internationally, and has obtained dismissal and denial of class certification in multiple consumer class actions in state and federal courts around the country. Matt has prosecuted and defended numerous cases in trial and appellate courts around the country. He has defended clients such as Bank of America, Kyocera Corp., and the Government of Egypt in financial services and cross-border litigation and arbitration, and has sued many large companies including Mizuho Bank, Shinsei Bank, Citibank, National City Bank, and Deloitte & Touche in similarly complex cases. Matt has litigated diverse issues, including intellectual property and trade secrets, class actions, lender liability, legal and accounting malpractice, False Claims Act, shareholder disputes, matters involving state and federal tax laws and shelters, products liability, bankruptcy, and fiduciary duties arising from ERISA, partnerships, corporate obligations, trusts, and guardianships.
