Dirk Wessels is a partner in our Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group in our Johannesburg office with almost 20 years specialising in M&A, corporate restructurings and general corporate law. Dirk’s experience includes four years in the London and Amsterdam offices of a magic circle law firm. Dirk advises multinational companies on M&A transactions in South Africa and across a number of other African jurisdictions. Dirk’s specialist interest areas include the technology and fintech sectors where he regularly acts for technology-enabled payment solutions providers and other technology companies. He is also particularly involved in the corporate aspects of the downstream fuel and logistics sectors. He has BCom and LLB degrees from the University of Stellenbosch and a Certificate in Advanced Company Law from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa and a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.
