Sangita Manek qualified in 1997 and is a Partner in the Private Client Dispute Resolution team. She is highly experienced and an acknowledged expert in her field. She is ranked in the Legal 500 as “a real fighter for her clients, who will leave no stone unturned”. Sangita specialises in contentious probate disputes including disputed Wills, breach of trust claims, administration of estate disputes and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975. She regularly acts for high-net-worth individuals and represents large estates both in bringing and defending claims. She represents clients on the full range of services from initial pre-action negotiations through to mediation and trial, regularly dealing with difficult and emotive cases. She also has a special interest in cohabitee disputes (also known as TOLATA claims) and is often considered the go-to litigator in this area of work, having written extensively about making claims for beneficial interests in property. Her strategic skills are excellent and she is known for her practical, common sense advice. She has an enviable success rate in both the High Court and County Courts, having been in practice for almost 25 years. Sangita is a member of ACTAPS (the Association of Contentious Trust & Probate Specialists).
