Howard Steindler focuses his practice on commercial leasing, acquisitions and divestitures, development, architectural agreements, public and private finance and construction, corporate headquarters development, and general business and commercial law. He has extensive experience working with shopping malls, residential developments, shopping centers, mixed use developments, public projects, urban projects, corporate/global headquarters developments and commercial buildings. Howard is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, member and former President for ten years of the Board of Trustees of College Now (formerly known as the Cleveland Scholarship Programs), former trustee of Downtown Cleveland Partners Inc., and of The Ratner School. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of The Lakeview Cemetery Association. Howard has held numerous management positions at Benesch, including serving as Chair of the Real Estate & Environmental Practice Group and Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Cleveland office. Howard has spoken extensively locally and nationally on topics concerning real estate law and property development and was an Adjunct Lecturer of Law at Cleveland State University Law School and an Adjunct Professor (MBA Program) at Baldwin Wallace University. He has been listed in “Best Lawyers†for 32 consecutive years (1990-2022) and “Chambers USA†for 17 consecutive years (2004-2021). Howard is currently listed in “Chambers USA†Senior Statespeople list.
