Leila Hubeaut has an extensive knowledge in the energy practice. She has been actively advising clients in France and emerging economies for nearly 20 years. Leila has developed a practice focusing on projects and project development, M&A and joint ventures in the energy and infrastructure sectors, including contractual, regulatory and public law, as well as licensing matters. Leila has developed her practice with a particular focus on Francophone Africa, having advised on multiple renewables/power, transport and social infrastructure projects in Benin, Senegal, Mali, Ivory Coast and Cameroon. A renowned specialist, Leïla has provided pro bono support to the new Solar Energy Standardization Initiative launched by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the Terawatt Initiative (TWI – a global private non-profit organization led by Engie and launched at COP21) which aims to spur global solar development by standardizing contracts to streamline the development and financing of solar projects.
