Demitrius M. Anthony is a Partner at Amis, Patel & Brewer, LLP. Mr. Anthony joined APB soon after the launch of the firm in early 2017. Mr. Anthony is excited to have the opportunity to rejoin a group of former colleagues in a boutique firm setting focused on the renewable energy and sustainability sectors while emphasizing client service. Mr. Anthony practiced corporate law for ten years with a major Washington, DC law firm. He then served several years as Associate General Counsel with a major international satellite corporation. Mr. Anthony has broad experience representing public and private companies in connection with a variety of domestic and international transactional and compliance matters, including project development, acquisition and finance in the renewable energy sector; stock and asset acquisitions; joint venture arrangements; business combinations; and corporate formation and governance. Mr. Anthony’s international experience includes providing primary legal support for sales teams in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan where he participated in negotiating and drafting commercial and government sales agreements, offset agreements, reseller agreements, and consulting agreements. He also managed the formation of foreign subsidiaries in the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates and the dissolution of foreign subsidiaries in Europe. In addition, Mr. Anthony has represented companies and individuals in connection with internal investigations, compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, corporate crisis situations, and enforcement actions brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Anthony has represented clients in such diverse industries as solar and wind power, defense and aerospace, manufacturing, aviation support, pharmaceuticals, motor sports, and e-commerce. While at Howard Law, Mr. Anthony was a member of the Howard Law Journal and member of the Huver I. Brown Trial Advocacy Moot Court team. He also received the Earl H. Davis Advocacy Award from the Jack Olender Foundation in December 1999.
