Lauren regularly advises corporate and private equity clients and institutions in all types of transactions in the real estate, hospitality and financing sectors. She focuses on real estate acquisition, leasing, financing, management, development and disposition of industrial, commercial, retail and residential properties, and general corporate matters. She has extensive experience representing home builders in the acquisition, development and financing of land and the creation of developments governed by condominium and homeowners’ association regimes. Lauren has represented foreign and domestic investors in connection with the acquisition of real property throughout the United States. She has also represented private equity funds in connection with the acquisition and disposition of distressed real estate loans and assets. Lauren also has significant experience representing lenders in connection with complex secured lending transactions. Lauren is committed to community service as an active member of the Junior League of Miami (JLM) since 2005 and has served in various leadership positions with JLM, including as Vice President of Development and serving on the Board of Directors from 2010-2011. Lauren has also volunteered with the Urban Land Institute, a non-profit education and research institution focused on promoting responsible land development and building sustainable communities, and organized programming for the ULI Florida Statewide Summit in 2013. Prior to joining Alvarez Arrieta & Diaz-Silveira LLP, Lauren was a senior associate in the Miami office of a U.S.-based global law firm, where she represented corporate clients and financial institutions in a variety of real estate and financing transactions. Lauren’s additional past experience includes an internship with Hon. Julie E. Carnes of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Lauren received a B.A. in Economics from Barnard College of Columbia University in 1998 and graduated from Emory University School of Law, Order of the Coif, in 2003. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida.
