Colleen Grady’s ability to process and solve complex legal issues, and her experience in effectively educating and counseling clients help add value to any transaction. Colleen has a variety of experience that includes work with international and domestic business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments, bank finance and general corporate matters. Prior to joining Alvarez Arrieta & Diaz-Silveira LLP, Colleen was a corporate associate in the Miami, Stockholm, and Helsinki offices of the international law firm of White & Case LLP for a number of years before teaching at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center from 2005-2014. At NSU, she taught critical legal skills utilizing substantive material from many subject areas including contracts, business entities, and professional responsibility. She also assisted in preparing teams for, and judging, competitions related to international arbitration and client counseling. Colleen was part of the AADS team that won the Daily Business Review’s 2015 Top Dealmaker of the Year for the Industrial category with respect to the firm’s work in representing the purchaser of an interest in a liquid natural gas processing plant in Trinidad & Tobago. She also was recognized for her work as a member of the AADS teams that were recognized as Dealmakers by the Daily Business Review for transactions involving a client’s acquisition and financing of a wind farm in Panama and a Colombian micro-lender client’s financing from a multilateral development bank.
