Laura De Jong is a lawyer and partner at our firm’s Corporate Law | M&A department. She has been with AKD since her graduation at Utrecht University in 2008. In the press release regarding her promotion to partner, AKD’s Managing Partner Erwin Rademakers refers to a “strong international profile and proven track record†and “an excellent addition to our current team of partnersâ€. She mainly advises foreign (listed) multinationals on all aspects of strategic investments or acquisitions in the Netherlands or in connection with global strategic transactions involving Dutch companies. Her scope of work includes (cross-border) due diligence operations, drafting and advising on shareholders' or joint venture agreements and a variety of other agreements ancillary to the M&A practice, while her expertise also covers related areas of law and regulatory matters within the context of Dutch M&A (e.g. employee co-determination, transfer of undertaking, financing and security, ancillary restrictions).
