Bio

Christopher Sveen is a trusted advisor to the oil- and offshore industry and is a frequently used advisor and negotiator in both domestic and cross boarder matters, transactions and disputes. He has over time acted as a strategic and commercial advisor to the executive management and board of directors of numerous businesses within the oil and gas industry. Through his previous roles in (former) Kværner, the law firm BA-HR, and as general counsel in Aker Solutions, he has obtained extensive domestic and international experience from the establishment, execution and completion of oil and gas projects, large industry facility projects and various other complex supply- and construction matters. Christopher also has a long and extensive practice from acquisitions, divestments and restructuring of corporations and with the establishment and implementation of various corporate governance and legal compliance programs. He headed the negotiations for the contractors for the new Norwegian standard offshore contracts – NTK 15, NTK 15 Module and Modification, NTK15 Modification and NF 15 – and has been central as a co-drafter and moderator in the establishment of the new Norwegian Conditions for Purchase (NIB 16). He is frequently used as a speaker at conferences and in seminars. Christopher is a top-ranked lawyer in the annual ranking of lawyers by the leading Norwegian financial journal “Finansavisen”.
