Kathryn Glissman ability to listen and understand what her clients want and need is one of the reasons her legal expertise extends across many areas of practice. Whether she is counseling a business regarding energy, construction, real estate matters or other corporate or transactional issues, her detail-oriented nature allows her to handle complex issues effectively. Katie is a partner with AKC Law and a member of the business department. She joined AKC Law in 2012. In her energy and construction law practice, Katie advises clients through all stages and aspects of the construction, ownership, and operation of power plant projects in the gas, solar, and wind industries, from term sheets and RFPs to complex engineering, procurement and construction agreements, equipment purchase contracts, operation and maintenance agreements, and long term parts and services agreements. She also assists clients in residential, commercial and agricultural real estate transactions, including purchase and sale deals, leasing matters, and development and construction projects. In addition, Katie provides legal advice to clients on a wide variety of general business matters, including entity formation, corporate governance, purchase and sale transactions, and day-to-day operational issues. Katie received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Morningside College in 2008 and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Creighton University School of Law in 2012. During law school, Katie served as the Editor in Chief of the Creighton Law Review.
