David Marple Bio

Dave Marple, a Partner of Värde, is General Counsel and a member of the firm's Investment Committee. Based in Minneapolis, he joined the firm in 2008 and was named Partner in 2016. Dave has global responsibility for the firm's legal, compliance, tax and audit functions. Prior to joining Värde, Dave was senior managing director and general counsel at Residential Capital, the global real estate business of GMAC Financial Services, where he had legal oversight of securitization, corporate finance, trading, master servicing, servicing, regulatory compliance and litigation. Prior to GMAC, Dave practiced law in the Structured Finance Department of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe in New York. Dave graduated with a B.A. from Colgate University and earned a J.D. from The New York University School of Law.
