John Cattau Bio

John is Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and a Managing Director of Silverfern, and has been a non-voting member of the firm’s Investment Committees for over 5 years. He brings over 20 years of experience in general management, corporate finance and Mergers and Acquisitions to the Silverfern team. Prior to co-founding Silverfern, John was Vice President/General Manager for a division of PartMiner, Inc., prior to which he spent 8 years at American Express Company, including 4 years in American Express’ asset management division, American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise). John is a Registered Securities Principal and earned his Master of Business Administration Degree from the Harvard Business School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Colgate University.
