Matt Potter Bio

Matt joined TCV in 2019 as a Vice President in the New York office, where he focuses on investments in the enterprise software, data and payments sectors. He supports TCV’s investment in AxiomSL. Prior to TCV, Matt worked for several years as an Associate at Vista Equity Partners, where he evaluated and supported investments in enterprise software and payments. He also worked as a Senior Manager at Forcepoint, a joint venture between Vista and Raytheon. Matt began his career as an investment banking analyst at Financial Technology Partners in San Francisco, where he advised clients on M&A and financing transactions. Matt received his M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his B.S. in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from the University of Southern California.
