John Delfino Bio

John joined TCV in 2014 and has over 10 years of experience advising private equity firms and corporate clients. John is responsible for deal structuring and execution (including investments and exits), portfolio matters, and a variety of other legal and operational functions. Before joining TCV, John was at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he advised private equity clients on a wide range of corporate and securities law matters, including M&A, leveraged buyouts, minority co-investments, and securities offerings. In addition, John has experience working with private equity and other alternative asset management firms in their formation, fundraising activities, and ongoing operations of their investment funds. John enjoys golfing, cooking, and running (mainly after his sons). He also has an eclectic taste in music and is not one to pass up an available jukebox. John received a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross and a J.D./M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.
