Keith Van Apeldoorn Bio

Mr. Van Apeldoorn has over 30 years of financial experience, primarily in the tax area. After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan, Mr. Van Apeldoorn obtained his Chartered Accountant’s designation while at the Calgary office of Arthur Andersen & Co. He then spent 15 years leading the tax department at a large Canadian public company with substantial real estate investments in Canada and the United States. Subsequently, Mr. Van Apeldoorn relocated to the Vancouver area and spent 5 years with a private real estate group. Mr. Van Apeldoorn joined Stern Partners in 2001 as Vice President, Taxation. He oversees Canadian and international tax compliance and planning for the group, and assists in other financial matters, including financial management and analysis, acquisitions and dispositions, cash flow management, accounting and corporate structuring.
