Norberto Morita co-founded Southern Cross Group and has been the firm’s Chairman since 1998. He is a member of the firm’s Executive and Investment Committees, and serves(d) as board member of Juncadella Prosegur, The Value Brand Company, La Polar, Supermercados del Sur, SIN, Brinox, HotelDO, Chilesat, South-Net, and ESSBIO. Prior to founding Southern Cross, Mr. Morita served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Bemberg Group and its largest operation, Quilmes Industrial, at the time the dominant beer producer in the southern cone of Latin America. Before then, he served as General Manager of Corning France, the French subsidiary of Corning Inc., a major global glass manufacturer. EDUCATION Norberto Morita holds a Chemical Engineering degree from University of Buenos Aires and an MBA from Columbia University. He is a member of the Board of Overseers of Columbia University Graduate School of Business, the International Council of INSEAD the Argentine Business Council, and the advisory Board of CIPPEC, an Argentine based think tank.
