Evan Magruder Bio

Evan is the General Counsel of RECOGNIZE. Evan brings over a decade of corporate, transactional, and regulatory legal experience to the firm. Previously, Evan served as a senior counsel in the Legal Department at Goldman Sachs, and as the board-appointed corporate secretary of Goldman Sachs Bank USA. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Evan was an associate in the corporate practice at White & Case LLP, where he represented private equity sponsors and investment banks in a range of corporate, leveraged, and structured finance transactions, as well as restructurings, and completed a secondment at Credit Suisse. Evan earned a J.D., cum laude, from Cornell Law School and an A.B., magna cum laude, from Princeton University.
