Mr. Kaganas is a senior vice president in Oaktree’s Opportunities group in New York. He joined the firm in 2017 from Newtyn Management, a long/short fund where he focused on value and special situation investing. Mr. Kaganas was previously in the Private Equity Origination group at Morgan Joseph TriArtisan. Prior thereto, he was an associate in Morgan Joseph's Investment Banking group. Mr. Kaganas holds a B.S. from NYU Stern and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School's Value Investing Program. He is fluent in Russian.
