Lucas Gibson Bio

Mr. Gibson is a vice president in Oaktree’s GFI Energy Group, which executes the Power Opportunities investment strategy. He is currently a board observer of Signal Energy, System One Services, Building Infrastructure Solutions Group, and Sterling Solutions and previously served as a board observer of Trench Plate Rental Co. and Renewable Energy Infrastructure Group. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2019, Mr. Gibson was a senior associate at Sole Source Capital, a private equity firm focused on the industrials sector. As a member of the M&A team, he supported the origination and execution of new investments and the management of existing portfolio companies. Previously, Mr. Gibson spent four years in investment banking at Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group focused on tax-advantaged investments in the energy, transportation and industrials sectors. Mr. Gibson graduated with a B.A. from Colgate University in 2013, where he double-majored in physics and economics.
