Joe Fergus Bio

Prior to joining Oaktree in 2006, Mr. Fergus spent six years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, most recently as director of Consultant Relations, marketing traditional and alternative investment strategies to institutional investors. Before joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Fergus spent nearly nine years as a commercial real estate investor and financier at American International Group and Wells Fargo Realty Finance. In addition to his career in the investment management business, Mr. Fergus has served as a field officer in Rwanda for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees. Mr. Fergus holds a B.S. degree in accounting from California State University, San Jose, a Master of International Management degree from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, and an M.B.A. in finance from Cornell University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
