Robert James Bio

Prior to Jumar, Mr. James served as Senior Business Developer at Vitol Inc. after successfully developing a liquids storage terminal which was acquired by Vitol in 2005. Prior to that, Mr. James held corporate development roles at Enron Corp. and El Paso Corporation. Mr. James is also a founder of Chalk Sea Development, Ltd., a principal investment firm engaged in the development and financing of emerging companies and assets, typically in the energy sector. Mr. James began his career as a tax, transactional lawyer, with a practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and business and tax planning. Mr. James has a B.S. with Honors in Political Science from the University of Houston, a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law, and an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Houston Law Center. Mr. James sits on the board of the Houston Cougars Foundation, and previously served for 11 years on the board of directors of StarTrust Federal Credit Union, serving as Chairman for the last 2 years.
