Rich King Bio

Mr. King is an Executive Director at HPS Investment Partners. Prior to Joining HPS in 2017, Mr. King spent three years at American Capital, where he underwrote and managed investments in leveraged loans in the Media, Automotive, and Industrial sectors. Prior to that, Mr. King worked in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley, where he executed debt, equity, and Mergers and Acquisitions transactions primarily for sponsor-backed companies. Mr. King began his career as an Analyst in the Mezzanine and Private Placements Division of Hartford Investment Management. Mr. King is a CFA charterholder and holds a BA from DePauw University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
