James MacMiller Bio

Mr. MacMiller is a Managing Director at HPS Investment Partners. Prior to joining HPS in 2018, Mr. MacMiller was a Senior Credit Analyst at Columbia Threadneedle, where he focused on investing in high yield bonds. Prior to joining Columbia in 2012, Mr. MacMiller was a Managing Director at Post Advisory Group, where he spent seven years focusing on a variety of high yield and distressed investments, with an emphasis on healthcare related companies. Prior to that, Mr. MacMiller worked as a Senior Credit Analyst on the High Yield team at T. Rowe Price and as an Associate in structured products and private corporate credits at TIAA-CREF. Mr. MacMiller holds a BA in Applied Mathematics and Economics from the University of California at San Diego and an MBA with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
