Matt has over 12 years of sell side and buy side experience. He leads Hemingway’s deal origination effort and also assists in deal execution. Previously, Matt was the Founder of Hathaway Equity Partners, a lower middle market private equity firm investing in family-owned businesses within the consumer industry. Prior to forming Hathaway, he sourced platform and add-on acquisitions in various industries for a generalist, lower middle market private equity firm, and worked for a family office backed private equity firm focused on acquiring software and tech-enabled services companies. Matt began his career working for a regional investment bank in the Southwest.
