Reiner Boehning Bio

Reiner Boehning is a Partner specializing in Credit investments. Mr. Boehning joined GIP in 2012 to co-found GIP’s Credit business and leads the credit origination functions across all sectors. Mr. Boehning has over 30 years of professional and infrastructure-related experience. Prior to joining GIP, Mr. Boehning spent 16 years at Credit Suisse where he served as a Managing Director in the Leveraged Finance Origination and Restructuring Group, focusing on the power, renewables, oil & gas, and other infrastructure sectors. Mr. Boehning also held the position of Co-Head, and, ultimately, Head of the Global Project Finance Group at Credit Suisse.Mr. Boehning received a Master’s Degree in Economics (Diplom-Volkswirt; with high honors) from Westfaelische-Wilhelms-University in Muenster, Germany.
