Matt Shuman Bio

Matt Shuman is a Managing Director at Gemspring Capital. He is responsible for deal origination and leading the firm’s overall marketing and business development efforts. Prior to joining Gemspring, Matt was with Northwestern Mutual. Previously, he ran the FX Prime Brokerage Sales efforts for Royal Bank of Scotland and Barclays Capital, where he was responsible for a broad range of activities, including business development, origination, contract negotiation and due diligence, and successfully led efforts in onboarding strategic relationships and rolling out new platforms for the banks’ Prime Brokerage businesses. Matt began his career as an Analyst on the Sales & Trading desks at JP Morgan in New York. Matt received a BS in Finance from Syracuse University.
