James Jackson Bio

James is a Partner at Gauge Capital. He leads the firm’s efforts in the industrial services, government services and beauty and personal care sectors. He also spends significant time in the business services sector. He serves as a Director of Circa, Schlesinger Group, TVC Pro-Driver, and LashCo. He previously served on the boards of Beauty Industry Group, Teachers of Tomorrow and eDynamic Learning. Prior to joining Gauge, James worked at Insight Equity, where he led several investments in the industrial services space. Prior to Insight, James worked at Audax Group, a middle-market focused investment firm where he completed investments in the business services, healthcare and industrial services industries. Earlier in his career, he worked at McKinsey & Company, where he advised clients on a variety of strategic issues. James received his MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in economics from Brigham Young University.
