Eric Leathers Bio

Eric Leathers is a Partner of Further Global and serves as a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Further, Mr. Leathers was a Partner at TPG and led the firm’s investment efforts in the financial services sector. He has over 20 years of experience investing across the sector, including in the areas of insurance, asset management, specialty finance and depository institutions. Prior to joining TPG in 2012, Mr. Leathers was a Managing Director and Partner with Pine Brook Partners, where he shared responsibility for the management of the firm’s financial services investment activities. Prior to joining Pine Brook, he was a Partner at Capital Z Financial Services Partners and was responsible for sourcing and structuring investments within the financial services industry. Mr. Leathers began his career in the investment banking division of Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions for financial institutions. Eric currently serves as Chairman of the board of Global Benefits Group and also serves on the boards of USClaims and AAI FG Holdco, L.P. Eric also currently serves on the board of ProSight Specialty Insurance and has previously served as a director of numerous privately held and publicly traded companies. Eric is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School of Business and a B.A. in History from the College of Arts and Sciences.
