Mark Rich Bio

Mark joined Frazier Healthcare Partner in June 2022 on the Growth Buyout Center of Excellence team as a Partner, Finance & Operations. He brings over 35 years of M&A, finance, strategy, and operations experience in integrated care delivery networks, value-based care, and physician practices/hospitals/ancillary providers. Prior to joining Frazier, Mark was part of the group that founded Steward Health Care System LLC - the largest privately held ACO in the country. He served in a variety of roles with Steward, including CFO of both the domestic and international companies, EVP of Global Operations, and Head of M&A. In addition to overseeing the finance operations of Steward, Mark led efforts that resulted in the quadrupling of the System over a two-year period, led both buy-side/sell-side diligence efforts, and led Steward through several revenue cycle management overhauls and integrations. He also led acquisitions in the LATAM region and negotiated contracts directly with the EU governments and government agencies. Before Steward, Mark was the CFO of the largest community-based ACO in New England. He also has an extensive background in consulting, having led the healthcare practice for a substantial Boston-based accounting and consulting firm. Additionally, Mark has served as Board Chair of an acute care teaching hospital and Chair of several audit/finance and compliance committees. Mark received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Binghamton University.
